Geographic diversity in economic publishing

چکیده
Is the representation of editors at prestigious economics journals geographically diverse? Using data on affiliations academics working in an editorial capacity such journals, we map locations power within profession. This allows us to rank institutions according this measure power. Further, by considering average distance a journal’s from geographic mean, diversity. We find that is concentrated five geographical hubs and most teams are less diverse more North American than authors they publish.
